On a brisk Thursday night. Burgessville starter Niel McDonald was pitted to face off vs. Todd Winkworth of the Crush. The Crush offense jumps on the board early with a leadoff homerun by Josh Leuszler,followed by a solo shot by Darryl Wharram as well putting the Crush up 2-0 in the top of the 1st. Burgessville responded in the bottom half of the inning by plating 4 runs of their own taking a 4-2 lead going into the 2nd inning. McDonald silenced the Crush bats in the 2nd, and Winkworth followed suit. The Crush scored 3 in the 3rd, 2 in the 5th on a DJ Latford Homerun,and 3 in the 6th on a solo homerun by Mark McCallum and Latford's second homerun of the night. Burgessville was only able to respond by pushing 1 run across in your the 6th inning.
