Nic Goetz struck out 14 batters to lift Glanworth Gators to a 7-2 win over Hardwood Corners at Glanworth in seven innings.
Brent Macpherson racked up three RBIs on two hits for Glanworth Gators. He tripled in the first inning and homered in the second inning.
Quinn Crud was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out four.
Hardwood Corners jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Hardwood Corners' rally started when Nick Penne singled. A single by Matt Zac then moved Nick Penne from first to third.
It didn't take long for Glanworth Gators to answer as it scored one run of its own in the first. Glanworth Gators scored on an RBI single by Jake McKillop.
