Both pitchers were on their games as Todd Winkworth took the mound for Sweaburg and Neil McDonald for the Bulls. The Bulls got on the board first when Mike Van Wyk singled and was later singled home by Jamie Davis. Sweaburg tied it in the 5th on a Rory Miller Double. Miller moved to 3rd on a wild pitch and with 2 out and runners on the corners Sweaburg tried to steal second and Miller was caught in a run down at home and tagged at the plate to end the inning and the threat. Both teams scattered a couple hits and in the sixth Mark McCallum dropped a fly ball in front of the Bulls right fielder Todd Schaafsma, the runner at first tried to score and for the second time at the plate the runner was tagged out ending the inning for the Bulls. In the top of the 7th the Crush plated one run and Neil McDonald dug down and stop the threat by recording 3 straight outs with runners on 2nd and 3rd. it was the Bulls time to try for the comeback and even up the series. The inning was lead off by a Mike Maris walk, his 3rd in as many at bats, followed by a James Schaafsma sac bunt. With a runner on 2nd Mike Van Wyk provided his “3rd” hit of the game, called out earlier on an inside the park homerun on missing 2nd, and moved Maris to 3rd. Van Wyk then stole 2nd and put runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 out for Todd Schaafsma. Schaafsma took the 2-2 pitch and hit a high chopper on the infield and forced an error to the Sweaburg 1st baseman letting both run score for the Bulls.
